We were looking for a suspension.
We sought a cave in which to take refuge, allowing us to continuously produce meaning.
A space where art does not intend to represent life.
It is content to touch it. Or maybe he plays ahead of it.
The space hosts images, but also presences that happen without being announced, without being programmed, even the public comes into being.
The space hosts images, but it also holds presences that arrive unannounced, unprogrammed. Even the public happens.
Here, things happen even when the lights go down.
A dancer can only cross the space with his music with the shutter down, restoring a shadow to the street and to those who, perhaps, cross it at that moment.
Someone can sit, braid hair, weave stories, intertwine time, while on the walls the works observe, let themselves be crossed by what happens.
As witnesses, they absorb what happens, refract it, contradict it.
We are looking for poetics and themes that move us towards others.
We are looking for a time that is not only that of the inauguration, but that of waiting, of permanence, of randomness.
We are looking for a field of exchange, a place where things happen.
Just as smugglers on the high seas dream of a free space, this place does not need to adhere to a pre-existing system of legitimacy.
We welcome works, actions, and presences as forms of knowledge.
Space protects an ongoing situation: of presence, awakening, combat, but it does not exclude hibernation when necessary.
The works are not only exhibited, but generated, multiplied, and crossed.
The image, the press, the edition, and the multiples become instruments of diffusion, wind circulating.
This space is an invitation:
To look on without deference.
To participate without a role.
To collect without shyness.
To think without consensus.
